Developed and directed all activities relative to advertising and marketing, organic farming, hotel (max. cap. 100 guests), health spa including naturopathic yogic and related treatments marketed to mature, successful clients. Rebuilt decaying hacienda into popular resort with average guest staying 4.5 weeks. Developed an international sales force. The property is now under the auspices and direction of new owners. 1967-1969: International Purchasing Director; additional Duties as Project Engineer. WHITAKER CABLE, INC., Kansas City, Missouri. Doubled production of automotive ignition after market manufacturing and reduced workforce by one half. Resigned to oversee and further develop personal investments in Mexico. 1965-1967: Business Manager with additional duties as Director of Management Engineering. CESSNA AIRCRAFT/Military Twin Aircraft Division, Wichita, Kansas. Responsible for efficiency of work force, space, material flows, and release of manufacturing schedules and materials. Responsible for 300 employees on three shifts in four manufacturing facilities and nine warehouses distributed over ten linear miles. Reduced parts shortages from 1030 per day to 25 or less through innovative purchasing/inventory system. Doubled available space in existing warehouses. Corporate liaison for Arthur Young and Co. (formerly one of the Big 8 CPAs). Resigned to join Whitaker Cable. 1961-1965: Commercial Manager, Region Staff Assistant. Property Manager (sales and trades of phone companies) AT&T & SOUTHWESTERN BELL TELEPHONE, CO., Fort Worth, Texas. Responsible for sales, collections, banking, public relations, employee recruiting, development, and outplacement in N.E. Texas. Achieved sales in the business and residence community considered to be a first. Pioneered 800 Number marketing in North Texas. Recruited by Arthur Young and Co. (CPAs/Consultants) to join Cessna Aircraft. 1957-1960: Military: Information Control Officer (RC Systems Data Management U.S. Air Force- Europe, Wiesbaden, Germany. Responsible for collection of sensitive inter-service data collection
(regarding manpower, missiles, aircraft, ships, ammunitions, fuel, etc.).
Prepared and presented war room briefings for field and staff commanders.
Inter-service coordinator for civilian evacuation and escape in the Frankfurt/Wiesbaden
area. Advised and assisted with budget formulation.
