Genie Urquhart
A Healthy Beginning
Genie Sumner grew up in Olathe, Colorado, a rural farming community on
the western slope of the Colorado rockies, known worldwide for its sweet
corn. She often attributes her incredible good health and strong immune
system to the fresh vegetables, fruits, and meats she ate from birth. Below
is a Sumner family reunion circa 1920.
Genie says "it is interesting to note that food was plentiful, everyone
ate well, and there was no obesity. But that was long before the introduction
of chemicals and artificial fats and foods. We were lean and strong."

At the Beach

Genie and friend of many years Sir Henry Danton (both in their mid 80's
) on the beach in Florida in 1999. Genie first met Henry Danton at
a Spa where both were undergoing cancer treatment. Genie and Henry were
on a fruit only diet and were both subsequently cancer free. Henry is still
a total fruitarian and ballet teacher.
Springing Back
Shortly
after the turn of the millennium, Genie (at age 91) suffered a heart attack
and congestive heart failure. Following
poor results on an ECHO test for heart function, she immediately put herself
on a regime of all natural foods, herbs (such as Terminalia Arjun), vitamins,
minerals, and amino acids. Three years later she was tested again and her
heart function showed more than 50% improvement. She will soon celebrate
her 96th birthday and is going strong.
