Dewitt Moore -- Christmas, 1944
Aboard
USS Eldorado -- Flagship to Iwo Jima

Dewitt Moore and Lorna Dee, the children of
a renown classical opera singer and voice teacher, began performing from
almost the day they were born. Dewitt's sister, the late Lorna Dee, was
an internationally famous concert pianist, but Dewitt acquired "the voice".
From the moment you hear the first note, his captivating voice fills
the room with melodious sound calling forth memories and reminiscences
of a bygone era.
In hundreds of songs ranging from religious to country to folk music
in many dialects and languages, Dewitt demonstrates his love and passion
for all music, what he considers the one true language of the universe.
As a Navy fighter pilot and soloist in World War II, he sang "Faith
of Our Fathers" as a memorial
to President Franklin Roosevelt upon his death at the request
of Eleanor Roosevelt from the deck of the USS Eldorado, Flagship to Iwo
Jima and Okinawa. Dewitt Moore's love for culture and country is
readily reflected in such musical renditions as "The Pledge of Allegiance
to The Flag of the United States of America" composed by Albert Hay Malotte
and "Rock of Ages."
Not only is Dewitt a professional musician, but he received his Bachelors
of Chemistry from the University of Tulsa and has manufactured countless
specialty products for the cosmetic, oil, household, and and automotive
industries as well as designing and building cosmetic plants. He is a superb
chemist as well as a great singer.
Dewitt's
wife Pat is also a professional soloist, who often accompanies Dewitt
in duets.
... and thanks to Dewitt, America has clean shiny
cars. He invented the car wash in 1958.
