This dish is an eggnog based French toast (and it has been widely served as a quick and easy New Year's Soufflé). However you wish to define it, everyone will love your Eggnog Toast Rescue. What you need to pour over the bread:
Enough bread (of your choice) to cover the bottom of a 9x13 pan with two layers of bread. What you need for the bottom of the pan:
What to do:
Second, mix the eggs and other ingredients to be poured over the bread. Third, layer the bread, two slices deep, over the bottom of the pan. Trim crust if desired. Fourth, pour the egg mixture over the bread as evenly as possible. Fifth, cover the pan and refrigerate overnight. Sixth, bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Cut into serving sized pieces. To serve: remove from pan with a spatula and flip the sugar side up. Pour any liquid glaze from pan over the top of the serving. You can also drizzle agave or honey over it
(Royal Honey is the very best),
or you can serve it with a side of jelly or jam, and of course butter...
and this goes well with scrambled eggs, and all cheeses.
Just for the record, you can prepare this in the morning and serve it in the evening... it makes a wonderful little supper. Click Below for Information on Great Anti Aging Products
