In a crisis or attack . . .

A necessary item you may want to have ready access to is Potassium Iodide tablets to protect your thyroid during a nuclear attack.  Potassium Iodide (for radiation), is relatively inexpensive and is commonly available over the counter in pharmacies or pharmacy departments of retail stores.

Other necessities may include:

• A few heavy duty upholstery needles and upholstery grade thread to repair heavy items such as back packs, tennis shoes, etc.
• Money
• Address & Phone Numbers
• Work Gloves ( for men and women and children --- based on our snow storm experiences in Colorado, we can assure you that insulated waterproof gloves are very desirable in the winter)
• Basic Tools (Hammer, saw, pliers, knife, screw driver, etc.

Most families prefer to store their emergency supplies in one location that is relatively safe, yet easily accessible if evacuation is required.
